With his name cemented in the Asian wedding industry it is safe to say Rajeev B knows a thing or two about planning such a celebration, having perfected the recipe over the years. For this reason he was incredibly humbled to have been asked to plan his brother’s wedding, an event that has since been branded ‘the wedding of the year’.
Experience
Due to his unparalleled knowledge Rajeev B obviously had a few tricks up his sleeve, wanting to pull out all of the stops for his brother Manoj and his stunning wife, Sonia.
‘With the celebration being an emotional and very personal one I wanted everything to be flawless’ he says.
‘This is why I played the role of wedding planner, liaising with suppliers and making important decisions in regards to the visual display of the evening’.
The best of the best
Being incredibly active in fine-tuning the planning process Rajeev worked closely with vendors and suppliers, only selecting the best in the business for his beloved brother; roping in his good friend Jas Johal to co-manage this prolific event.
‘Having been involved in so many weddings in the past I have a strong grasp on what suppliers deliver the best service, being able to choose the best lighting, drinks, food as well as the venue’.
Holding the wedding in the Hilton in London the venue was transformed into a celebration of Asian culture, with admirably-dressed tables, bars and an impressive dance floor all creating the perfect ambiance.
On the suppliers list featured Essential Wedding Couture, the business that was responsible for the enchanted forest theme throughout. Creating the most stunning centrepieces Rajeev called in the help of Kudos AV who provided all the production lighting and LED screens, the glorious stage set, a circular bar as well as a custom-made dance floor.
Food and drink
Working closely with Indian wedding catering company Maharaja Rajeev B ensured that the most important part of the reception was organised, the food. From the lobster and champagne welcoming to the multi-course meal of Asian delights, the food encouraged a wealth of compliments.
‘I have had nothing but kind words and feedback from the wedding and I am overjoyed that Manoj and Sonia loved every second’.
With the 6 tier statement cake created by Maya Dahlia Cakes the bride and groom enjoyed an admirable blend of both classic and modern qualities, with Rajeev B reiterating his expertise in this niche field.
Entertainment
As the UK’s number 1 DJ Rajeev had his pick of some of the best performers of today, choosing Jas Johal, DJ Dips and DJ H to perform on the night. Starting the night off with a bang his choices were immediately celebrated, with the whole of the guest list up on their feet.
And it was not just Dj’s that made an appearance on the night, with Imperial Drummers, Flute That Groove and Chris Williams all blessing the event with their talents.
‘The music was undeniably the highlight of the whole day and I am so glad we got to capture every moment. I would like to thank J Dhillon photography for all their hard work on the night also.’
All in all the wedding was a success, an event that will be hard to top!
